Welcome to our little fabric shop, operated out of our home in the Texas Hill Country. I have had a love for textiles for many years, dating back to my Textiles and Clothing Construction courses at Texas Woman’s University. I’ve spent many years in the business world as an Accountant and have settled down for “the good life” -- travelling with my husband, playing with my 4 grandbabies, and sewing. I love making simple patterned quilts that highlight today’s beautiful prints that so many great designers have made available to us as quilters and seamstresses.
Contributing to the success of HCC is my artsy, techie daughter Lindsey. Her interest in quilting started in 2011 when she made a weekend trip to her G-Ma’s house to start and finish a king-sized quilt for her groom as a wedding gift. Lindsey spends most of her time raising her 3-year old, traveling with her husband, and designing custom quilts and patterns.
Our love of fabrics and quilting would not be complete without my Mom, Shirley (aka, G-Ma/GG-Ma). Mom made all of my clothes growing up while working full-time AND cooking three meals a day-- WITHOUT the luxury of a microwave, convection oven, or dishwasher! Over the years she has made many quilts and she is our “go-to” guru for technique.
When our 3-generation of quilters get together, we have a blast playing with fabrics, laughing, eating, and playing Bananagrams!
